Fracture mechanism of roof key strata in Dongjiahe coal mine using microseismic moment tensor

Response characteristics of key strata during the periodic weighting process in Dongjiahe coal mine were investigated using micro-seismic (MS) monitoring. Fracture types identified through moment tensor inversion. Finally, fracture mechanism roof was revealed from a microscopic viewpoint. The results show that there are three concentrations MS events distributed along dip direction. And two event clusters formed “pairs” before and behind working face. Along strike direction, tensile shear factures occur front face with angle 54°, while micro-fractures mainly mixed partial By contrast, rock usually occurs fracturing compared to fractures slight ones after fracturing. pattern basically conforms “O-X” type. X-shaped extends outward an 46° due north. findings this paper provide theoretical reference for behaviours hazard risk assessment under similar conditions.
